Coalition Announcements

Trainings - On-site provider trainings are offered for all new Reach Out and Read sites, as well as for existing sites that could use a "Reach Out and Read refresher." Call Andrea Pyatt-Johnson at 410-396-9995 to schedule.

Book Donations - Donations of new and gently used childrens' books are always appreciated. Used books are given to children who are seen for sick visits and siblings, so that every visit to the physician promotes literacy. To make a donation, or to organize a book drive, please contact Andrea Pyatt-Johnson.

Volunteers - Volunteer readers in the pediatric waiting areas of Reach Out and Read sites increase children's exposure to books and reading, help to make the wait a pleasant experience, and demonstrate the joy that reading together brings. To discuss volunteer opportunities in the Baltimore area, contact Andrea Pyatt-Johnson. Training is provided to all volunteers.
