About Reach Out and Read Upstate New York

Reach Out and Read Upstate New York is a coalition of 78 member sites serving over 59,000 children each year. We are dedicated to promoting literacy as a standard part of pediatric primary care, and to reaching those children most in need. Pediatric and family practices throughout Upstate New York are invited to join us, and can call Susan Huppe for further information about the services the Coalition provides.

Coalition Announcements

We are currently working with state and federal legislators to continue ROR funding. Let your local representatives know how much ROR means to you by asking for their support. Call the Coalition office for more details.

Book Donations

Donations of new and gently used books are greatly appreciated. Used books are used in the waiting rooms and given out to siblings or for sick visits.

To make a donation or organize a book drive, contact Susan Huppe.

Volunteers

Volunteers are used to read to children in clinic waiting rooms. Please contact Susan Huppe for more information.
