ROR GA In the Field May 2017

Creating Relationships in In-Need Communities

Our dedicated Program Manager, Karolina Klinker spent time making connections in the field with some of the organizations that are our most important allies in bringing Reach Out and Read to more families in Georgia.

Karolina visited the Family Connection Meeting Heard County as part of our effort to expand into that region through support from the Alice Huffard Richards Charitable fund. She introduced the organization to 25 people from the community

She met with a representative from Heard County Schools and a Director of Federal programs @ Braves Babies, which is an early literacy and early child development education for parents.

She took our message to Child abuse Prevention Day at the Division of Family and Children Services in their downtown office. Reach Out and Read had a booth and distributed information to employees.

Reach Out and Read also had a presence at the State of Education in Atlanta Launch breakfast and the GEEARS Bus Tour stop in Muscogee at the Department of Public Health. Here attendees learned about Project Launch.
