Pass the Book

Pass the Book is an initiative of Reach Out and Read. Its purpose is to help raise $3 million from individuals who love reading to provide new, culturally, and age appropriate books for more than 2 million children growing up in poverty. These books are given to children at the 10 well-child visits from ages 6 months to 5 years, along with advice from pediatricians to parents about the importance of reading aloud to their children.

How You Can Help Pass the Book and Make Books Part of a Healthy Childhood

If You Are a Book Group Member
Request a Pass the Book information packet. Share it with your book group members at your next meeting. Ask them to join you in supporting Pass the Book. The packet will include: Pass the Book brochures; information for you to share with your book group; bookmarks; bookplates; and donation envelopes.
