Help us spread the word about the importance of early literacy and school readiness.

Reach Out and Read is an evidence-based early literacy and school readiness intervention with broad bipartisan support in Congress.

Fifteen states currently invest in Reach Out and Read, providing critical funding for books and infrastructure.

With the active involvement of our many supporters, Reach Out and Read continues to seek public funding and private support to enable us to bring our early literacy intervention to as many children and families as possible.

How You Can Take Action

Elected officials expect to hear from their constituents about innovative and effective programs that are being implemented in their home states or districts. This represents an opportunity for you to educate your legislators about the impact of Reach Out and Read on the children and families served in your community. Telephone calls, letters, meetings, and Reach Out and Read program site visits can have a tremendous impact.

As we begin our next legislative campaign, we will post additional information here about how you can help!
