BAE Employees Support ROR in the Military

Thanks in part to the employees and leadership of BAE Systems, children of U.S. military families will be getting more than a shot the next time they head in for a pediatric checkup - they'll be getting a brand-new book! That's because BAE Systems and Reach Out and Read (ROR) have joined together to support and expand the ROR early literacy program on military bases and spread the word about the importance of reading aloud to young children.

BAE Systems launched a virtual book drive on Columbus Day, with an invitation to all employees
to purchase books for the 90,000 children served by ROR's 35 military Programs. Employees can donate timeless favorites such as The Little Engine that Could, but they can also help by donating books of special interest to children with a parent in uniformed service of our country, such as The Jet Alphabet Book.

BAE Systems is one of the world's largest defense, aerospace, and security companies and has almost 80 facilities in the United States. The company has long been committed to supporting military families and has become a strong partner for Reach Out and Read nationwide. Curtis Gray, BAE's Senior Vice President of Human Resources, also serves on Reach Out and Read's National Board of Directors.
