Join Us for Read and Romp Boston 2009!

Join us for our sixth annual Read and Romp Boston event on Sunday, November 15th from 10:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Seaport Hotel. You won't want to miss this fun family day with activities that bring children's stories to life, all for a great cause! Proceeds from the event support ROR's mission to make books and a love of reading part of every healthy childhood.

Last year, we welcomed more than 450 guests for a great family event to benefit ROR. This year, Read and Romp features some exciting new stations and activities including Fancy Nancy,
Curious George Goes to the Beach, Reading Makes You Feel Good, and more! Children can grab a passport and travel through 11 storybook stations, designed to provide hours of fun for children and their families.

Along with interactive storybook stations, there will be a buffet lunch with musical entertainment by Steve Blunt and Marty Kelley, and a visit from storybook characters like Clifford the Big Red Dog. Parents and children will also have the opportunity to meet Norman Bridwell, the creator of Clifford!

Parents have the chance to win great prizes through our Raffle for Reading and online auction. The Raffle for Reading will feature themed prize packages, and parents can purchase tickets at the event. The online auction will run until November 18, and features Bruins and Celtics tickets, Southwest Airline tickets, and many more great prizes! Visit our page on cMarket to place a bid.

Special thanks go out to our 2009 Read and Romp Boston committee and especially to our co-chairs: Kirke Hall, Janice McCourt, and Joy Surprenant.

Activities are best suited for families with children ages 2-8. Tickets to the event are $50, and there are still sponsorship opportunities available. Click here to buy your tickets today. For more information, call us at 617-455-0644 or visit www.readandromp.org.
