Book Buddies: How one gift a month can have a BIG impact Each month, Reach Out and Read medical providers place 475,000 books in the hands and homes of children in need. Book Buddies are special friends who provide steady and reliable support through recurring gifts. They help to ensure that all 475,000 of those books make it home with children across the country. Monthly gifts start at just $10, and add up to significant contributions to ROR over the course of one year.   Elizabeth Corbett, a retired librarian now residing in California has been a faithful book buddy since 2005. Elizabeth said, "I am a big fan of reading, and when I first learned about Reach Out and Read I thought it sounded like a really good program, which is why I decided to donate. Spreading the donations out throughout the year makes things a lot easier, and is a way to give a larger donation than just writing one check." Elizabeth feels that her donation each month has a direct impact on the children and families that ROR serves. Monthly giving is easy, and it's a cost-effective way to ensure that more of your contribution supports our mission.
