Reach Out and Read is proud to announce that we have retained John W. Corwin, of Corwin Consulting, LLC, as our Interim CEO. John began work on July 14 and will lead ROR until a long-term successor is named.

John is one of the nation's most experienced specialists in the field of interim nonprofit leadership. He has worked in the nonprofit and public interest sector during his entire 35-year career.                                                  MORE

At Reach Out and Read's April Board of Directors meeting, the following individuals were approved as members of the Board: Neal Baer, M.D., Jay Berkelhamer, M.D., Carol Emig, Bob Franks, Martha Gershun, Susan Cooley King, Perri Klass, M.D., Douglas Korn, Linda Fayne Levinson, Ann Mercer Logan, Lois Lowry, Jenny Seeman, and Catherine Snow, Ph.D.

Mark your calendar for Reach Out and Read's 5th annual Read and Romp!

Read and Romp is a unique family event which allows children to travel through the pages of some of their favorite storybooks. Along with interactive storybook stations, there will be a buffet lunch and a visit from storybook characters like Clifford the Big Red Dog.

We celebrated our 3rd annual Read Romp + Rock at the Roxy nightclub on March 7th. Nearly 350 friends, supporters, and fans attended the event and helped us raise $420,000 for Reach Out and Read. Guests enjoyed a short speaking program about ROR that included Super Bowl Champion Troy Brown and a surprise live auction of walk-on roles in the movie "Bride Wars" by Producer/Director Sam Weisman. The program was followed by dinner, games, and lots of dancing.                                                              MORE
