Since July 1, when our fiscal year began, 308 new sites have joined Reach Out and Read. The 9% increase in expansion this year means that there are currently 3,495 ROR programs throughout the U.S. Eighty percent of these programs are located within one of 32 ROR coalitions. We are pleased to announce that New Jersey, Utah, and Washington State are our newest coalitions
(all were founded this year). The coalitions' medical directors and program directors in these three states will join their counterparts across the country in focusing on three primary goals: expanding ROR to more sites and primary care providers, fundraising to support sites' annual book budgets, and providing technical assistance and quality assurance for sites.
