Become a Literacy Champion

Members of the Literacy Champions Society make a minimum commitment of $5,000 annually to Reach Out and Read and receive regular updates on Reach Out and Read's initiatives, as well as advances in the field of early childhood development. Find out more about the Literacy Champions Society.

Become a Book Buddy

Your automated monthly gift will ensure that Reach Out and Read continues to reach additional children living in poverty. Simply check the Book Buddy option on the contribution form. Contribute now.

Honor/Memorial Gifts

Remember someone special with a gift to Reach Out and Read. We will acknowledge your honor/memorial gift of $40 or more with a beautiful gift card. Gifts can be made in honor of: birthdays, anniversaries, graduation, teacher appreciation, and other special occasions. Contribute now.

Matching Gifts

By taking advantage of a company's matching gift program, you can generate an additional gift that may automatically double or triple your own contribution.

Here's how to make a matching gift:

  • Check with your company's human resources department to find out about its matching gifts policy.
  • Obtain a matching gift form from your company.
  • Fill out your section of the form and send it with your contribution to:

  • We will verify your gift and return the form to your company, which then issues a matching gift contribution to Reach Out and Read.

Combined Federal Campaign

Our identification number for the Combined Federal Campaign, the annual fundraising drive for Federal employees and military personnel, is 10396. For information on how to designate Reach Out and Read as the recipient of your gift, please contact your human resources office.

Planned Giving

Appreciated Securities

A gift of appreciated securities may maximize your tax savings. A charitable gift of publicly-traded stock is deductible at its fair market value, enabling a donor to avoid capital gains tax on any appreciation.
