Reach Out and Read is thrilled to be a philanthropic partner of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, the oldest and largest pharmaceutical fraternity in the United States.  Over the past year, the members of Kappa Psi have helped Reach Out and Read’s medical providers prescribe reading aloud to children and families around the country.  Kappa Psi has filled those prescriptions through $50,000 in donations and thousands of books donated.

We are grateful for the depth of Kappa Psi’s support, which has reached the children and families of Reach Out and Read with monetary donations, book donations and awareness both locally and nationally.

Donna Cohen Ross, Reach Out and Read’s Strategic Partnerships and Policy Advisor, joined Kappa Psi at their 59th Grand Council Convention in Washington, D.C. to share more about Reach Out and Read and receive a $50,000 check in recognition of the work done by Kappa Psi Members over the past year.  At the event, Kappa Psi shared a slideshow highlighting the incredible work done over the past year.

Donna shared Nyla’s visit video with the over 500 Kappa Psi Members—and many attendees even recognized the book they read aloud together in the video, The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear!

We remain grateful to Kappa Psi for their tremendous support in filling prescriptions for reading aloud—and look forward to our continued partnership.
