Partnering with Educate Girls Everywhere

The pandemic has changed just about every aspect of our lives, especially learning. Access to education is an increasing concern not just for adults of small children, but for activist teenagers that care deeply about the effects the pandemic is having on girls and education. Reach Out and Read is proud to partner with Educate Girls Everywhere, a student-run platform that works to raise awareness and financial support for nonprofit organizations that help educate females in underserved areas and to inspire people of all ages to help change a girl’s world through education.

“With the pandemic causing profound negative learning impacts, especially on younger and disadvantaged students, Educate Girls Everywhere feels it is more important than ever to use all available channels to get books into kids’ hands,” said Brynn Aaronson, 17, the platform’s founder. “We love that Reach Out and Read taps doctors to promote educational well-being during care visits. This important touch can help turn the page on this stagnant time to grow developing minds.”

Educate Girls Everywhere’s three-week online educational and fundraising effort kicked off on March 1, 2021, and will run through March 22, visitors to their website can purchase Limited Edition Turn The Page -themed beanie hats, protective face masks, and stickers in support of Reach Out and Read, as well as donate directly to Reach Out and Read.
