ABC 10News’ Special, If You Give a Child a Book, looks at the importance of reading and spotlights efforts to improve literacy across San Diego. The show features Reach Out and Read San Diego’s Medical Director, Dr. Marsha Spitzer, who highlights the impactful work that our providers do for the community.
More than 100 clinics in the county participate in Reach Out and Read’s program, serving nearly 100,000 kids a year. Reach Out and Read San Diego will give out its 2 millionth book sometime this year!
